Bikes

Ride.

I love bikes, I think they are one of the greatest human inventions. They get me out of my head and the house. Here are mine (current, past and dreams) and their stories.

A very spontaneous purchase that I’m genuinely thrilled about. Fast, smooth, and cutting-edge... Something I never even dreamed of owning. It’s an incredible creation that combines two seemingly impossible traits: it’s both stiff during acceleration and smooth over rough terrain. I’ve ridden two century rides on it and commuted a lot to work around the city. At the moment, it’s my main bike.

My first real gravel bike. Made by a Ukrainian brand but assembled in China. Super reliable and easy to fix if something goes wrong on the road. It’s the bike I had my first crash on, and that’s when it proved just how tough it is. A bit stiff, but easy to upgrade and customize. I was over the moon when I got it. It’s also the bike I rode my first 100 kilometers on. Later, it became my second bike, and I started sharing it with friends for fun rides around the city.

A pretty solid bike. I bought it during the pandemic when we were all stuck at home. Public transport was barely an option, but I still needed to get around the city somehow. I found it on OLX (a local marketplace for second-hand stuff) as a way to explore different parts of the city. Back then, I had no idea that bikes would end up taking such a big place in my heart.

Did Jobs really say this?
